Madagascar rosewood, flame maple and wenge laminated guitar neck blank.
The blank is made up of 11 pieces of wood. The center strip of quilted wenge is 0.265" flanked by 0.31" flame maple, 0.070" wenge, 0.070" Madagascar rosewood, 0.070" flame maple and 1.01" of Madagascar rosewood. We use a modified urea resin glue for our laminated necks. It is expensive, difficult to work with, but is the best glue for the application. It is a rigid glue and works great on tropical hardwoods. We put a lot of effort into our laminated blanks to make sure they look good and will hold up for a lifetime.
The blank overall measures 30.5 X 3.325 X 0.92". Two extra pieces( 1 X 1 X 7" each) of matching Madagascar rosewood will be provided to extend the width of the head stock.
The blanks are made up from kiln dried 8% MC or less stock.
Four pictures of each side are shown wet with alcohol to pop the figure. Four pictures of each side dry are shown as well. Pictures are of the exact blank you will receive.
