Quilted sapele, wenge and flame maple laminated guitar neck blank.
The blank is made up of 11 pieces of wood. The center strip of quilted sapele is 0.66" flanked by 0.060" flame maple, 0.060" wenge, 0.060" flame maple, 0.17" quilted sapele and 1.07" of wenge. We use a modified urea resin glue for our laminated necks. It is expensive, difficult to work with, but is the best glue for the application. It is a rigid glue and works great on tropical hardwoods. We put a lot of effort into our laminated blanks to make sure they look good and will hold up for a lifetime.
The blank overall measures 30.25 X 3.5 X 0.90"". I will supply extra pieces of wenge to widen the head stock.
The blanks are made up from kiln dried 8% MC or less stock. They are surfaced flat on both sides.
Four pictures of each side are shown wet with alcohol to pop the figure. Pictures of the blank dry are show too. Pictures are of the exact blank you will receive.
