The blank is made up of 9 pieces of wood. The center strip of quiled sapele is 1" flanked by 0.060" hard maple, 0.060" purple-heart, 0.060" hard maple, and 1" of wenge. We use a modified urea resin glue for our laminated necks. It is expensive, difficult to work with, but is the best glue for the application. It is a rigid glue and works great on tropical hardwoods. We put a lot of effort into our laminated blanks to make sure they look good and will hold up for a lifetime.
The blank overall measures 30.5 X 3.4 X 0.90". I will supply extra pieces of wenge to widen the head stock.
The blanks are made up from kiln dried 8% MC or less stock. They are surfaced flat on both sides.
